Proseminar (WS/SS)

Content of the proseminar “Technology, Innovation and Start-up Management”

Within the scope of the Bachelor proseminar, students learn to deal with scientific papers, especially in the fields of Technology, Innovation and start-up management.

Bachelor students are expected to work on a particular research topic by analyzing relevant literature on a specific research question regarding technology, innovation and start-up management; more precisely, students are required to intensively acquaint themselves with a specific research question and to obtain the relevant literature.

They are moreover expected to understand and retrace the empirical and statistical analyses and to interpret the results properly.

The seminar is divided into two parts:

  • A Paper and
  • A Presentation

Each student is required to write an independent scientific paper and to hold a corresponding presentation about the respective topic.

A tutor will support the students until the completion of the scientific paper and the final presentation. The final presentations are introduced to the department team as well as the other course members, who are expected to participate in the Q & A.

Student feedback

  • "Intriguing topics."
  • "The communication between the tutor and students was excellent, and timely responses to questions were always received."
