UNIcert®
As of 2023, students enrolled on the English Department's BA degree programmes can opt to take a UNIcert® III exam (CEFR level C1). This exam is administered by the Department's Language and Communication team. Two specializations are available:
- UNIcert® III English for Academic Purposes, which is for students on the degree programmes "B.A. Anglophone Studies" and "B.A. GuK" - History and Cultural Studies"
- UNIcert® III Business English, which is for students on the degree programme "B.A. Intercultural Communication and Business (ICB)"
JLU's Zentrum für fremdsprachliche und berufsfeldorientierte Kompetenzen (ZfbK) also offers UNIcert® courses and exams, in a range of languages and at levels I - IV. These are entirely independent of, and not to be confused with, the English Department's UNIcert® programme.
