Joining the Research Group

We are always happy to welcome dedicated and motivated applicants who would like to actively contribute to our research and working environment.

  • Research lab students, Bachelor’s and Master’s projects,

Projects are available on a continuous basis. If you are interested, feel free to visit our staff members in laboratories B136–B132 on the 1st floor of Heinrich-Buff-Ring 17, or contact Prof. G. Kieslich directly via email. The projects are typically integrated into ongoing doctoral research projects and involve working on independent research questions. The main focus is often on synthesis and structural chemistry, although computational projects are also available.

  • PhD and Postdoctoral positions

Unfortunately, we currently do not have any open PhD or postdoctoral positions; however, anyone interested in pursuing a doctorate or postdoctoral research position in our group based on a fellowship or scholarship is always welcome to contact Gregor Kieslich to discuss possible research projects and opportunities for collaboration.

  • Laboratory internships (for pupils)

Laboratory internships can be offered upon request in cooperation with other research groups and usually last 3–5 working days. Please note that the focus of such internships is to provide "a look behind the scenes of everyday research" and, for safety reasons, not practical laboratory work. If you are interested, please contact Prof. Dr. G. Kieslich directly.

Collaborations

Modern research and teaching are often interdisciplinary. We are always interested in establishing new contacts in research and teaching. Do you have specific inquiries or ideas? Feel free to contact us, preferably directly via email. We look forward to hearing from you!
