AK Spengler conducts research in two major subject areas. One major topic is imaging mass spectrometry. Here, on the one hand, new and further development of instruments is carried out and, on the other hand, application protocols for bioanalytical problems are developed on existing instrumentation. The second major topic is on-site analysis. Here, miniaturized and transportable instruments as well as methods for the analysis of environmental samples and commodities are developed.
