Evaluation of the effects of the Seed Terminator on segetal vegetation depending on management type and site conditions (InDiA Seg)
The work package 'Segetal Vegetation' investigates and evaluates the effects of using the Seed Terminator on the segetal vegetation depending on agricultural management (plow sowing, mulch sowing, direct sowing) and site conditions in the Vogelsberg Mountains and near to Giessen. Empirical and experimental investigations have been carried out on plots with and without the use of the Seed Terminator and focus on two questions: (1) Which segetal species are potentially affected by the Seed Terminator and what quantities of these seeds are actually destroyed? (2) What effect does the use of the Seed Terminator have on the diversity of soil seed banks?
