Chair of International Food and Nutrition Security
Welcome to the website of the Chair of International Food and Nutrition Security at the University of Giessen!

A central topic of our division in teaching and research is sustainable food and nutrition security and combating malnutrition in all its forms. With an interdisciplinary and systemic approach, we plan to work in three different areas and their interfaces in order to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals, among others:
- Nutritional health and nutrition education
- Sustainable food systems and food environment
- Nutrition-sensitive value chains
Our focus is on countries in the Global South and cooperation with local partners.
