National Research Funding
-
The Staff Division Research (and Graduate Studies) supports and guides JLU researchers in the planning, submission, and implementation of national research projects. A particular focus is on advising on cross-university collaborative research projects in application procedures with central national funding organizations of the federal government (especially BMFTR, BLE, etc.), the federal states (e.g., within the Hessian research funding program LOEWE), as well as in the coordinated programs of the German Research Foundation (DFG).
Targeted support is also offered for individual funding initiatives and for the development of initial project proposals by early-career researchers. The services provided in proposal support include, in addition to reviewing formal and administrative aspects of applications (e.g., financial planning, completeness and consistency of information, clarity), coordination with other relevant administrative units at JLU and with the university leadership.
-
When preparing third-party funded projects, researchers receive answers and support for the following questions, among others:
- What formal and administrative requirements must be observed when submitting a funding application?
- Which internal and external deadlines need to be met for specific application procedures?
- Is the proposed budget sufficient for realistic project implementation?
- Which other administrative units exist within JLU that can provide advice on cross-cutting research topics?
