Director of Finance and Administration

Susanne Kraus qualified as a lawyer and attained a senior rank at the Regional Council of Darmstadt. She was also previously Head of the Legal Department at JLU and joined the Executive Board on 1 December 2014.

Susanne Kraus was born in Giessen in 1964 and was head of Department B – Legal Affairs, Central Responsibilities, Safety and Student Administrative Affairs from 2005. She knows JLU better than anyone, having studied Law here between 1983 and 1989. After her postgraduate traineeship she embarked on her career at the Regional Council of Darmstadt. In 1993 she took up a post at the Legal Department at JLU.

Susanne Kraus has many years’ experience in the field of university medicine and was involved from the start in the co-operation between JLU and the Philipps University of Marburg and the University Clinic of Giessen and Marburg (UKGM).
