By car
The Main University Building of the JLU is located at Ludwigstraße 23. Access to the car park is via Stephanstraße. The address to enter in the car navigation system is:
- Stephanstraße 24, 35390 Gießen
You must take a parking ticket when entering the car park; this can be validated for free exit when attending appointments on campus.
Please note that the number of parking spaces is limited. We therefore recommend travelling by public transport.
By public transport
The central bus stop "Berliner Platz" is served by all city bus routes and many overland bus routes. From there it is about a 10-minute walk to the Main University Building. The ‘Uni-Hauptgebäude’ bus stop is located right in front of the Main University Building. It is served by city bus routes 3 and 13.

On foot or by bike
Goethestraße directly connects the pedestrian zone in the city centre with the Main University Building and the Philosophikum.
From the "Seltersberg" campus, you can reach the Main University Building on foot or by bike via Ludwigstraße.
The JLU is facilitating environmentally friendly mobility with a hire bike system and is networking the various campus areas even better.
