Selection of scholarship holders
Among other things, the students apply with a letter of motivation for the Deutschlandstipendium. This, along with all other application documents, will be submitted to the two central selection committees at JLU Giessen. Each committee is responsible for awarding scholarships, with one reviewing applications from students in faculties 01–06, including teacher training, and the other handling applications from faculties 07–11.
Each selection committee is made up of a chairperson, two professors and two academic staff members. Members are appointed to the committee for a term of four years.
Upon request, Sponsors can participate in the selection process of scholarship holders in an advisory capacity.
