Four Dates, Four Topics: Exchange and Inspiration for Digital Teaching
In the second half of the year, we warmly invite you to explore current topics in digital higher education. The Lunch Bag Sessions offer an open space for exchange, reflection, and new perspectives. They take place online via BigBlueButton on Wednesdays from 12:00 to 14:00. Participation is free of charge, but registration is required.
This offer is aimed at instructors of all disciplines who wish to use digital media in a pedagogically sound and goal-oriented manner. It is suitable for both experienced and new users of digital teaching tools.

Each session addresses current issues, provides concrete suggestions, and invites participants to engage in joint discussion.
Upcoming Sessions at a Glance
10 September 2025 | Feedback Methods and Tools Feedback is one of the most powerful levers for learning – provided it is constructive, clear, and activating. This session introduces methods and tools that help students actively seek and use feedback. Together, we will reflect on how digital and analog instruments can be combined meaningfully, and how to develop a personalized feedback set for your teaching. Speaker: Sandra Limberg
15 October 2025 | Digital Accessibility How can digital teaching be made as accessible as possible – and what does that mean in practice? This session introduces various student needs and presents awareness tools and instruments tested in the SHUFFLE research project. The "BlindDate" encounter platform also offers a perspective-shifting exercise that invites reflection and further development. 12 November 2025 | Rethinking Assessment with AI Artificial Intelligence challenges traditional assessment formats and opens new pathways for measuring competence. In this session, we discuss how to design future-ready examinations, explore proven innovative formats, and consider the balance between technical feasibility and educational value. 10 December 2025 | Virtual Reality in Higher Education Whether as a supplement to face-to-face teaching or as an immersive learning environment – Virtual Reality offers diverse possibilities for higher education. This session provides a hands-on introduction, presents specific application scenarios, and offers guidance for getting started with VR-based teaching. Speaker: Maraike Büst
