As a lecturer of a tutorial course, you need to be prepared for questions or problems that may arise and that you cannot (or do not want to) clarify on your own. The exchange of ideas and contact with an outsider's perspective are helpful in this case. In this live session, both new and experienced tutors present their concerns in order to find solutions to common problems and questions together. Here are some of the most common challenges and questions tutors deal with:

• "How do I deal with disruptions in my tutorial?"
• "What can I do if no one attends or only a few show commitment to the course?"
• "How do I act when my professional competence is questioned?"
• "What should I do if there are significant differences in students' knowledge levels?"
• "How can I make a fair assessment?"
• "Is my approach correct?"

The live session is conducted according to the guidelines of practical coaching and the method of "peer practice counselling". This enables tutors to present and discuss specific aspects of their experiences in the tutoring courses and to work on specific problem cases or to accept and give advice for (teaching) situations in which they still feel unsure. 

Peer practice counselling is also advisable for tutors who have only had positive experiences so far: on the one hand, tutors can take on the "counsellor role", on the other hand, they have the opportunity to develop plausible strategies for dealing with situations that arise in the future.
