by car
coming from A5 exit "Fernwald",
turn to Giessen on B457, at Giessen
turn left to continue on A485 until next exit "Schiffenberger Tal, Universität",
turn to Giessen, then
turn left behind supermarket "REWE Markt" (opposite McDonalds) into Sandkauterweg,
follow Sandkauterweg (take second exit at roundabout, turn right reaching the railway track),
at railroad crossing turn left to cross the rail tracks, then
turn left into Ohlebergsweg and at its end
turn right into Leihgesterner Weg.
After 50 m turn left to enter the campus parking area.
Starting from the entry of the parking area you follow the brick road until the main entrance of iFZ (painted red).

by train / by foot starting at Giessen Main Station :
from Giessen Main Station to IFZ you need about 20 minutes by foot, about 5 minutes plus 5 Euro by taxi.
Starting at the square / bus terminal in front of the railway station, you cross rail tracks via a pedestrian bridge, then follow "Friedrichstrasse" until you reach "Wartweg" (you will cross "Frankfurter Strasse"), then follow "Wartweg" for approx. 1 km until you reach turn-off to "Heinrich-Buff-Ring". Turn left, after 100m you are at the back entrance of the iFZ.
by plane (to Frankfurt/Main airport):
take a train to Frankfurt Main Station, there you take a train to Giessen Main Station (Giessen Hauptbahnhof).
