July 2026: Invited talk of Markus Nabernegg at the International Inequalities Institute, LSE
Chair member Markus Nabernegg presented his ongoing work, “Earnings volatility in Latin America: evidence from administrative data”, at the SMOOTHIE seminar of the International Inequalities Institute at the London School of Economics.
In this joint work with Verónica Amarante, Paula Carrasco, H. Xavier Jara, and Joaquín Prieto, harmonised monthly administrative social-security records for Chile, Ecuador, and Uruguay are used to study short-term earnings and labour-market volatility in formal private employment.
