Global Health - An Introduction
Global Health is an interdisciplinary field of research, teaching, and practice that is receiving increasing attention. At the same time, it remains a subject of controversy and is characterized by diverse definitions.
In this introductory talk, key elements of an inclusive, reflective, and practical definition of Global Health will be presented, guided by the fundamental normative principle of the universal right to health and by five central questions concerning global health equity, each of which requires locally tailored responses.
