Administrative-technical personnel

Administrative-technical personnel supports the academic personnel in the fulfillment of their key tasks in many aspects. Thereby, it constitutes the backbone of the university and enables excellent academic work.

Among other things, administrative-technical personnel supports students as well as academic personnel in the areas of research and teaching. Employees of the administrative body fulfill administrative tasks while employees assuming technical tasks usually work in laboratories and workshops of the individual departments as well as in the IT Service Centre (HRZ) Employees with a service function advise and train JLU employees and students concerning various matters. 

Depending on those specific functions and a possible personnel responsibility, human resource development goals vary. Nevertheless, Justus Liebig University has developed an ideal goal profile concerning the group of administrative-technical personnel which is closely oriented towards the overarching human resource development goals “competence” and “motivation”. According to that, Justus Liebig University qualifies administrative-technical personnel in subject-specific as well as interdisciplinary competences and in the area of preserving their own health.
