Do you need help with your application to the university (for example uni-assist)?

Would you like to know more about the student city of Giessen?

What we offer:

• You can find our online consultation hours here. 

• Workshops: From 6^th May 2024 the Buddy Programme offers various workshops all about German as a foreign language. You can improve your German language skills at various levels and you will receive a certificate for your participation. If you take part regularly, you will receive a small surprise at the end of the semester.
  • When? Mondays 10:30 am - 12 pm and Tuesdays 4 - 5.30 pm
  • Where? Bismarckstraße 16, 35390 Giessen, Room 102
  • Registration via online registration form
  • Registration deadline is on Thursday one week before the workshops starts
  • Maximum number of participants 20

• Just-Meet Special: We invite you to various events to get to know other cultures, participants and the city of Giessen and its surroundings better. And you can also improve your German skills. Information will be sent out by e-mail. Registration at: jlu-buddyteam@admin.uni-giessen.de

• Run Club: Do you want to do sports but not alone? Come and join our Run Club
  • When? From May 2024, every week on Tuesday from 6 pm - 7.30 pm
  • Where? Meeting point in front of the swimming center "Ringallee", Ringallee 12

• Book-Club: Each person receives a book from us to read at home in peace. Every week we meet to discuss what we have read. This is a good way to improve the German language skills.

• Games night: Do you want to have a fun games night with the Buddys? Come to the Lokal International. 
  • When? Every first Thursday of the month from 7 pm
  • Where? At Lokal International, Eichendorffring 111
