The iFZ Building
The interdisciplinary Research Centre (iFZ) at the Justus Liebig University was founded as a result of the university’s outstanding ability in both environmental and life sciences. Today, the building houses 12 departments, about 400 scientists, technicians and administrators, and more than 10.000 m² of work space for a wide spectrum of activities. As a centre for applied life sciences, the iFZ is located at the heart of the natural science campus with its facilities in biology, chemistry and physics, and is only a step away from the university hospital centre. This central location supports the exchange of methods and technology and the transfer of concepts, and ensures successful interdisciplinary research.
