MontagWorkshop: Transcription, Annotation and Analysis of Multimodal Data
This workshop offers a hands-on introduction to the transcription, annotation, and analysis of multimodal interaction data, with a specific focus on hand gestures and facial gestures. Participants will explore key methodological decisions involved in working with multimodal data — from segmenting, categorizing, and coding gestural and facial conduct in dedicated annotation tools to analyzing their respective function.

MontagWorkshop 3: VON DER FREMD- ZUR SELBSTDARSTELLUNG – FRÜHE SELBSTREPRÄSENTATIONEN VON SINTI*ZZE UND ROM*NJA (1850- 1950)
Der dritte Workshop beschäftigt sich mit frühen Selbstdarstellungen von Sinti*zze und Rom*nja in ihrem Verhältnis zu den Fremdreprä- sentationen in populären Wissensmedien. Es wird der Frage nachgegangen, wie sich Sinti*zze und Rom*nja in das über sie zirkulierende Wissen und in spektakuläre Repräsentationsmodi einschreiben und diese einem Rewriting oder einer Reappropriation unterziehen. Un- tersucht werden sowohl schriftliche Zeugnisse als auch performative Darbietungen.
