Our current research interests focus on mRNA splicing in the human, zebrafish, and trypanosome systems. Specifically, we study pathways and networks of alternative splicing regulation, combining RNA biochemistry, genomewide approaches, and RNA bioinformatics. Deep-sequencing-based methods such as RNA-Seq and CLIP-Seq are currently our major approaches, which we apply in combination with modern RNA biochemistry methods.
