Marketing the Lung

A Scientific Symposium of the University of Giessen and Marburg Lung Center School

 

“Marketing the Lung” is a career development symposium held within the framework of the University of Giessen and Marburg Lung Center (UGMLC) School.

It is the career development aim of this symposium to provide a forum for discussion of issues concerning the appropriate training and marketability of lung scientists in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industrial sectors.

This symposium consists of a series of lectures by invited speakers, drawn from all over the world, which addresses the central theme of the symposium. The list of external invited speakers for this symposium may be found here. Amongst the invited speakers are lung scientists who themselves have established successful careers in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, and are therefore well placed to advise our students on which steps to take to improve their marketability. Additionally, representatives of the human resources departments of several pharmaceutical and biotechnology firms will also attend, to answer questions related to human resources in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
