Programming the Lung

Epigenetic control of lung biology through histone and chromatin modification

Castle Weilburg, 12-13 November, 2012

 

“Programming the Lung” is a scientific symposium held within the framework of the University of Giessen and Marburg Lung Center (UGMLC) School.

It is the educational aim of this symposium to provide a forum for discussion about epigenetic processes – namely, histone acetylation and methylation, and DNA methylation – which regulate physiological and pathological processes in the lung. The symposium will include a workshop highlighting the applications of next-generation sequencing to study epigenetic processes in the lung.

This symposium consists of a series of lectures by invited speakers, drawn from all over the world, as well as in-house faculty and students engaged in studies which addresses the central theme of the symposium. The list of speakers for this symposium may be found here.

This symposium has a limited capacity of 85 participants. Therefore, pre-registration is required. Requests for information, and registration (all by email), should be directed to the UGMLC administration office, at the following email address:
