3rd iCANx Retreat (2024)
From March 21 to 22, 2024, the third retreat of the LOEWE iCANx research cluster took place at the historic Weilburg Castle Hotel. This two-day event brought together iCANx members, including professors, postdocs, and PhD students, to present and discuss the latest research findings and developments in iCANx projects. The participants had the opportunity to go into the topics in greater depth and gain new perspectives. On the evening of the first day, the participants enjoyed a joint dinner, where young researchers, in particular, had the chance to engage in conversations with some professors. This informal exchange fostered networking and enabled the young researchers to gain valuable insights and advice from experienced scientists.The second day began with more exciting lectures. Additionally, a poster session took place, where all participants had the opportunity to vote for a poster prize. This prize was awarded at the end of the event and recognized the outstanding research of three young scientists. A joint lunch concluded the two pleasant and interesting days in Weilburg. It was gratifying to see the projects of the LOEWE iCANx research cluster progressing and the interesting results that the scientists were able to discover. Participants left the meeting with new ideas and a strengthened network that will enable future advancements in science.
