How to Help

 The GGL needs you!

The GGL is currently looking for doctoral students who are interested in sharing their cultural background with the rest of the GGL. Can you sing traditional songs from your country? Are you a talented dancer or play a musical instrument? Would you enjoy sharing information about your country and culture in a short presentation? Or are your talents more related to cooking?

We would love to have you perform for the GGL. Just let us know what you would like to do in the registration form, and we will organize the rest.

There are lots of ways to contribute to the program. For example:

  • Sing a traditional song (solo or group)
  • Teach the group a simple children’s song
  • Performing a traditional dance by yourself or in a group
  • Teach the group a simple dance
  • Give a short presentation about one aspect of your country/culture (5 minutes)
  • Cook a traditional dish
  • Perform a short skit
  • Read and explain a poem
  • Play an instrument
  • Etc.
