[Online] Training: Literature training with Citavi

In cooperation with the university library of the JLU Gießen we offer a Citavi training. The training provides the opportunity to get acquainted with the literature management software Citavi by means of video recordings. The training will take place in a flipped classroom format. The content is initially acquired via video formats, which are available in both German and English.

On August 11, there will be a synchronous online session with Mr. Waldschmidt-Dietz and Mr. Schwarz of the JLU University Library. Possible problems, requests for discussion and open questions can be discussed with the speakers in this session.

The literature management program Citavi basically offers the following possibilities to manage and structure your literature:

• Transfer references to books, journal articles and many other types of literature from online sources (catalogs, subject databases,...),
• create literature lists in different citation styles,
• search for e-journal article full texts using the library system's link solver and save them in Citavi,
• insert citations into word processing programs (Word, OpenOffice,...) with the help of publication wizards 
• create bibliographies automatically and format them in different citation styles.
