Objectives:
Learn the basics of programming in Python:
- Get to know the the most important concepts of programming in Python
- Get used to the Python syntax
- Write your own programs for certain tasks
- Use Python for your own research and your specific research data
Content:
Key fundamental concepts of python like:
- Variables and objects / Data types / Input and output / Expressions and Assignments / Operators / Control Structures / Functions / Methods and classes / Modularization of code
- Introduction to handling scientific data and plotting using “NumPy” and “Matplotlib”
