Databases are a reliable and up-to-date resource for economic data, even when used at a surface
level. This course aims to go a little deeper and provide its participants a sense of familiarity and
competence regarding a multitude of functions of the Refinitiv Eikon Database. Participants will be
able to navigate the database, filter and search firms and other financial objects, order and save
them into lists, and use those lists to extract multiple specific points of data.
Further, the Eikon Excel-Plugin and its interconnections and applications are demonstrated and
conveyed, so that participants learn how to extract and process data for further use.
