From July 1 to 11, 2026, the Justus Liebig University in Giessen, Germany, hosted
an international summer school for students of the social sciences and humanities
titled “Ukraine in Europe: Studying Ahead”,
organised within the German-Ukrainian University Network “Ukraine in Europe”
funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) with budgetary resources
allocated by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR).
Thirty students from Germany and Ukraine participated in academic seminars and discussions,
as well as in off-campus excursions, a movie night, an alumni talk, and more.
