Doctoral Committee and Chair

Joint Doctoral Committee of Faculties 07 and 08

The tasks and responsibilities of the Joint Doctoral Committee are regulated in the doctoral degree regulations of the faculties of natural sciences and include in particular:

  • Decision on applications within the framework of the doctoral procedure, in particular application for acceptance and opening of the examination procedure
  • Appointment of supervisors
  • Appointment of the assessment committee
  • Appointment of assessors
  • Preparation of amendments to the joint doctoral degree regulations

Each of the two faculties of natural sciences delegates from among its members:

  1. the vice dean,
  2.  two full-time professors,
  3. one member from scientific staff with a doctorate
  4. and - in an advisory capacity - a doctoral candidate who must be enrolled as a student
