Description:

The course covers advanced aspects of prescriptive and descriptive decision theories, behavioral and market anomalies, and the application of Behavioral Finance in practice. Additionally, exercises deepen the lecture contents and apply them in discussing empirical studies. Upon completion, students master the concepts of Behavioral Finance and can apply them to their own scientific studies.

Description:

In this course, advanced aspects of risk management theory are covered, including its tasks, measurement, management, and control. Besides market price risks such as interest rate risks, credit risks, liquidity risks, and operational risks are discussed. Upon completion of the module, students master risk management tools and can identify problem areas.

Students will enhance their understanding of asset pricing and sustainable investment management concepts, applying these theories empirically using datasets and programming skills. Content includes multifactor models, cross-sectional anomalies, quantitative investment strategies, ESG integration, and performance evaluation of professional asset managers.

The course introduces the special business management of insurance companies. It covers topics such as fundamentals and current challenges in the insurance industry, insurance and risk theory, insurance branches, premium calculation, current challenges in investment, opportunities and risks through digitization and big data. The accompanying exercises provide both strategic and operational in-depth presentations of the lecture contents.
