Reasons for studying business administration and economics at Justus Liebig University Gießen
Studying at an anonymous university? Not at our Faculty of Business Studies and Economics! We value individual support and will help you to make your studies a success. We have
short lines of communication
so that you will quickly find someone who can help and support you. Our professors and staff are also available outside of lectures and welcome your questions and feedback!
If you have any questions about your application and the organization of your studies, you can contact our
staff at the Examinations Office of Faculty 02
, who will be happy to help you. You can also contact the
Central Student Advisory Service (ZSB)
at Justus Liebig University, which will be happy to advise you in all phases of choosing and studying a degree course.
The business administration and economics professors in the faculty of business studies and economics , our staff and several external lecturers offer an extensive, broad selection of courses in compulsory, elective and minor subjects. You can design your own curriculum from this wide range of courses and additional courses from other faculties at JLU and thus set individual focuses according to your own interests.
With our orientation events and pre-university courses , you will have an easy start to your studies. In addition to that, the facilities of the JLU and the Studentenwerk will help you with questions about your studies .
The Faculty of Business Studies and Economics supports your personal development through courses taught in English, language courses and exchange programs with partner universities worldwide. For example, you have the opportunity to complete some coursework during a semester abroad.
University and practice are mutually exclusive? Quite the opposite.
At the Faculty of Business Studies and Economics,
speakers with practical experience
bring current topics and projects into the lecture hall. One example is the lecture
“Nachhaltigkeit in den Wirtschaftswissenschaften (Sustainability in Economics)”
.
Term papers and final theses can have a close connection to practice, and there are also practical modules in which students work together with companies.
We support the placement of internships, student part-time jobs and jobs for young professionals through our job portal and personal contacts.
At our faculty, the responsible treatment of people and the environment is at the heart of our teaching and research. This is also reflected in our
events and sustainability measures
.
By the way:
JLU's Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO), Prof. Dr. Peter Winker
, is also a professor at the Faculty of Business Studies and Economics.
On the campus of Law and Economics in Licher Straße, you will find
modern seminar buildings
with well-equipped lecture halls, a library and a café next to
historic villas and plenty of green spaces
to take a walk between lectures. It's convenient that almost all of the department's facilities are within walking distance and that there are plenty of nice places to linger in the breaks between lectures.
We are certain that we have one of the most beautiful and personal campuses in the whole of Hessia!
