Library

The Archaeological Library is located at the Department of Classical Archaeology (rooms D12, D13, and D16) on the campus of Philosophikum I. The library's holdings comprise approx. 15,000 monographs and approx. 100 journals from all disciplines of Classical Archaeology.

The library is a reference library. Books cannot be borrowed. Exceptions for borrowing individual books are possible upon consultation with the Institute's lecturers only.

 

 

 

If you have any questions regarding the use of the library, please contact the library assistants (see below) or Dr. Julia Koch.

 

If you need books from the "small" library whose access can only be guaranteed on a limited basis, please contact Dr. Julia Koch by email as early as possible, stating the shelfmark of the book in question. Requested books from the "small" library will be deposited for you in the "large" library every Thursday by 5 p.m. at the latest.
