Curriculum Vitae
Before I started working in Giessen in April 2018, I studied Classical Archaeology, Ancient History and Greek Philology in Berlin, Oxford, Rome and Heidelberg (1993-2002). I was an associate member of the research group Image - Body - Media (Institut für Bildmedien, Zentrum für Kunst und Medien in Karlsruhe) and worked as a lecturer at the Department of Classical Archaeology at JLU (2003-2005). Then I worked as lecturer, associate professor and professor at the Department of Classics at the University of Nottingham (2005-2018); in autumn 2015/16 I was visiting professor at the Humboldt-University Berlin; from april 2016 to march 2017 I was research fellow at the Morphomata Centre of Advanced Study at the University of Cologne.
