Admission requirements

• Relevant bachelor’s degree (or an academic degree that is considered equivalent) with a minimum of 40 CP in the chosen major subject.
• In individual cases, the examination board can decide on the equivalence of an academic degree and can grant permission with additional stipulations.

Language requirements

• Some major subjects require language certificates provided upon application. Please read the relevant information on language certificates and direct follow-up questions at ZSB@uni-giessen.de.
• Applicants with an international university entrance qualification need to be aware of the required German language knowledge. More…

Application process

• There are no admission restrictions.
• The enrolment period for the winter semester starts at the beginning of June. The enrolment period for the summer semester starts at the beginning of December.
• The deadline for the enrolment period changes from year to year. Please check the application portal for further information.
