Didactics of Geography
The Didactics of Geography offices are on the Philosophikum II campus (Karl-Glöckner-Straße 21G, 35394 Giessen) on the outskirts of Giessen, south-east of the centre between Schiffenberger Weg and Licher Straße.
The buildings put up in the 1960s are surrounded by green spaces and forest which provides a pleasant atmosphere. The Philosophikum can be reached by bike via a signposted cycle path within 10 minutes from the city centre or 7 minutes from the main building of the university (Ludwigstraße).
In addition to the Didactics of Geography offices, the campus is home to numerous other subject-specific teaching disciplines and educational sciences.

By train:
- from Giessen station, take bus number 2, 5 or 24 to "Marktplatz". From "Marktplatz" take bus number 800, 801, 802, or 9 to Rathenaustr.
By car:
- from Dortmund, take the A45 (Exit – Wetzlar-Ost) >B49 (Dreieck Bergwerkswald) >A485 towards Kassel, Marburg > Exit - Schiffenberger Tal, turn left toward Giessen, after approx. 500 m turn right at the second traffic light (sign-post Philosophikum II).
- from Erfurt or Kassel, take the A5 (Reiskirchener Dreieck)>A480 (Nordkreuz Giessen) > A485 > Exit - Schiffenberger Tal, then continue as above.
- from Frankfurt, take the A5 (Gambacher Kreuz)>A45 (Giessener Suedkreuz) > A485 > Exit - Schiffenberger Tal, then continue as above.
