Institute of Inorganic Chemistry

Professor Schindler's working group from the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry offers Liebig-College students the possibility to participate in their research fields. Here you can review possible research topics.

Prof. Dr. Siegfried Schindler

Dioxygen activation and selective oxidation of organic substrates with air similar to metalloenzymes using copper or iron ions in the active site is the main focus of the Schindler research group. Besides syntheses and characterization of new transition metal complexes reactivity of these compounds is studied using low temperature stopped-flow techniques.
