Local structure analysis by high resolution transmission electron microscopy
The function and biocompatibility of the within this SFB developed bone replacement materials and their important interface regions to the surrounding biomaterial will be characterized regarding their structure. Especially the combination of different transmission electron microscopic measurement methods, i.e. high-resolution imaging combined with local electron diffraction and spectroscopy of characteristic X-rays as well as electron energy losses, will be used for the local structure determination of specifically selected specimen areas.
