Abstract
Your paper has been accepted for a conference – that’s great news! If you are interested in the steps that come next, from preparing your presentation to finding your presentation style, then this workshop is for you.
We will address your experiences so far, time management, body language and voice, hooking your audience, how to navigate questions during the Q&A, and connecting with other researchers during the coffee breaks.
As the workshop gives the opportunity to practise parts of your presentation, potentially for the summer schools this semester, we ask you to bring up to 5 minutes’ worth of material that you are willing to share with the participants.
This workshop is intended to be a space to ask any questions about what to expect at academic conferences. It is open to all IPP and GCSC members, for those, who have not yet attended a conference and for those who are looking to improve their skills.
