Survey of Demand 2026
Thank you for your feedback in our annual survey of demand!
Every year, the GGS conducts a survey of demand among all members, i.e. doctoral candidates, postdocs and professors.
Almost all of the GGS's course planning for the following year is based on this survey. Approximately 90% of all courses organised by the GGS each year are on topics that were in high demand according to the survey.
In terms of course modality (course language, online/presence, weekdays, half-day/full-day, etc.), we will also be guided in almost all cases by the wishes you communicate to us in the survey.
Many thanks to everyone who took part this year! Your feedback is very important to us and forms the basis for the design of our course program.
Unfortunately, however, we are also affected by the university-wide budget cuts, which are having a significant impact on the GGS budget. This means that we will only be able to realise very few of your course requests this year, even if we would have liked to.
Nevertheless, your feedback is extremely valuable to us. As soon as the financial situation improves, we would like to realise the course topics you have requested. We therefore hope that you will continue to take part in the survey of demand in the future - even if not all of the current topics of interest are reflected in the 2026/2027 programme.
The most frequently mentioned course requests from the 2026 survey of demand can be found in an overview on the German website.
Our special thanks go to everyone who took part in the survey and thus helped us to continue to create a needs-oriented offer at GGS.
