Doctoral Studies Quality Circle

The Doctoral Studies Quality Circle (Qualitätszirkel Promotion) is a cross-border network of, at present, four German states (Bundesländer) in which heads of graduate schools and institutions are currently working on supporting early career researchers of, so far, seven universities.
The QZP was founded in 2009 in order to conceptually develop support structures for doctoral studies at universities.

Dr Kerstin Lundström, the Managing Director of GGS, has been a member of the QZP since 2016. She succeeded the previous Managing Director, Dr Eva-Maria Aulich, as a member of the QZP.

The guidelines developed by the QZP are aimed partly at prospective doctoral candidates and doctoral candidates, but also at supervisors, and thus offer valuable advice for both sides of the supervisory relationship on how to successfully master both the start of the doctoral studies and the entire doctoral process.

Clicking on the images below will take you to the respective QZP brochure for prospective doctoral candidates, doctoral candidates or supervisors.

You can access the German-language brochures by changing the language at the top right of this website (click on the German flag).
