Simplify Event Organization

In order to simplify event organisation and coordination, two central Learning Management Systems are used at the Justus Liebig University of Giessen. The systems ILIAS and Stud.IP have a joint interface and can therefore be connected with each other.

What does Stud.IP offer me?

 

Stud.IP (Internet support for teaching) offers communication, information and organization possibilities as well as a person and resource administration of lectures. The platform offers a wide range of functionalities that can simplify the organization of courses.

 

For example:

  • Integrated communication facilities (wikis, forums, etc.)
  • Schedules, appointment calendar, event directory, creation of timetables
  • List of persons and participants of courses
  • Provision of learning materials about the respective course
  • a good integration of ILIAS learning modules
  • Assistant for creating new courses

What does ILIAS offer me?

 

ILIAS (Integrated Learning, Information and Work Cooperation System) is the second central Learning Management System of the Justus-Liebig-University and offers teachers many useful components.

 

For example:

  • Communication possibilities via an internal messaging system or discussion forums
  • An integrated Wiki
  • ILIAS learning modules
  • A glossary and calendar
  • A system for cooperative work
  • Test and evaluation tools and surveys
  • Podcasts and video files
