Travelling by car
The parking space along the "Heinrich-Buff-Ring" is limited by barriers and therefore only usable for the staff of the local university facilities. However, there is a parking lot for the general public between the eastern part of "Heinrich-Buff-Ring" and "Leihgesterner Weg" (access via Leihgesterner Weg). Please be aware that especially during the lecture periods these spaces can be largely occupied in the mornings from 8:30 a.m. on.
Travelling by train/plane
Gießen can be reached via the Main-Weser Railway (Frankfurt am Main - Kassel) between once and twice per hour.
If you arrive by plane at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) you may plan the continuation of your journey to Gießen via train using the routes enquiry of RMV. Please choose "Frankfurt (Main) Flughafen Regionalbahnhof" as the starting point of your journey.
In the western or north-western directions there are train connections available to Cologne/Bonn (via Siegen) or to Hagen/Ruhr District. Please use the travel inquiry of DB for details.
by Bus: You may get from Gießen main station to the science campus with bus number 10. You have to leave the bus at the bus stop "Naturwissenschaften" (A city map can be found in the station hall).
by Foot: It is a 20 minutes walk from Gießen main station to the science campus (A city map can be found in the station hall).
by Taxi: The quickest option is catching a taxi. Please tell the driver that you are heading for the university, "Campus Naturwissenschaften", "Heinrich-Buff-Ring".
