LaMa Colloquia
Twice per semester, the LaMa organizes detailed talk events dedicated to special subjects. Usually, two guest speakers are invited who look at the subject from two different perspectives. There is sufficient time between the two talks as well as after the event for in-depth discussions with the guests.
These colloquia are open to the public, so guests from all university departments and from the interested public (e.g. staff of industry companies) are welcome.
Each of the presentations is usually 45 minutes long. Including discussion and break, a colloquium takes 2.5 to 3 hours.
Note: The ZfM/LaMa management is thankful for suggestions regarding possible colloquium subjects.

LaMa Workshops
Without any fixed sequence, the LaMa organizes topical events dedicated to in-depth discussions of special subjects. Short presentations of Giessen research groups are usually combined in an informal way to enhance scientific exchange and planning of future projects.
LaMa Workshops are usually non-public. Participation requires an invitation by the organizers. If interested, please contact the organizers directly.
Duration of the workshops is flexible (often half a working day).
