Erasmus+ is the EU programme for education, training, youth and sport for the period 2021-2027. The overall objective of the Erasmus+ programme is to support the educational, professional and personal development of people, including in higher education in Europe, thereby contributing to sustainable growth, skilled jobs, social cohesion, the promotion of innovation, the strengthening of European identity and active citizenship. The following priorities have been set for the Erasmus+ programme 2021-2027:
- Inclusion and diversity
- Digital transformation
- Environment and combating climate change
- Participation in democratic life
It enables students, teaching staff, administrative and technical staff and researchers to gain academic and personal experience in other European countries with EU funding and to utilise their study and internship opportunities linguistically, culturally and professionally. The exchange with European universities is based on inter-institutional agreements between the JLU departments and those of the respective partner universities.
Find out on our pages about the possibilities of planning a stay abroad within the framework of Erasmus.
The Erasmus programme countries are the 27 EU member states plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia and Turkey.
