DSH Overview

The German Language Examination for Student Applicants (DSH) is a university language test that checks whether applicants have the necessary German language skills to study at a German-speaking university.

JLU offers the DSH twice a year (before the summer and winter semester). The examination fee is 140€ (this includes a one-week examination training).

Application

If you have been admitted by JLU or THM, you can register for the DSH at JLU here until February 27, 2024 within 10 days after the admission has been issued. Immediately after you have registered, you will receive an e-mail with further important information about the DSH (examination date and place, etc.).

The registration is currently closed.

Payment

Payment

The examinations are subject to a fee. A fee of 140 euros is payable for the first examination. This applies accordingly to the re-examination. The fee must be paid at the latest ten days before the written examination (date according to the admission notice).

Withdrawal

Withdrawal

The examination fee can be refunded upon request - minus an administrative fee of € 10 - if you cannot take part in the examination and if you are not responsible for the reasons for this. Proof of payment must be submitted together with the refund application and the reasons must be explained.
