  • Coordinates and conceptually develops the university’s collections.
  • Establishes and maintains an overview of all collections at JLU.
  • Researches and develops the collections and their objects.
  • Safeguards historical collections.
  • Advises and assists in the development, inventory, custody, care and presentation of the collections.
  • Advises on how to digitize collection objects.
  • Assists in acquisition, divestment, loan, and exhibition activities.
  • Supports the acquisition of grants.
  • Uses collection objects for teaching and academic communication.
  • Creates publications about the collections.
