- Wolfgang Mittermaier Prize for outstanding achievements in academic teaching
- In memory of Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Mittermaier, Professor of Criminal Law at the University of Giessen from 1903 to 1933, the Erwin Stein Foundation endowed the Wolfgang Mittermaier Prize in 1995. The prize is awarded for outstanding achievements in academic teaching and is endowed with €3,000.
