Entrance requirements
The requirement for acceptance into the Master course is to have completed a Bachelor's degree with a relevant subject profile (or an equivalent qualification).
For admission into the Master's degree programme the following Bachelor degree programmes are recognised:- Music
- Music Education
- History and Culture with Music or Music Education as the main subjects.
Over and above this the following academic qualifications will be recognized as comparable qualifications for admission:
- Teaching Qualification for Grammar Schools with Music as the main subject.
- Cultural Studies with Music as the main subject.
- Media Studies with Music as the main subject.
The board of examiners can also recognize other degree courses as equivalent on the basis of an individual test in the framework of the application and admission procedure or a pass in a course entrance test. In special cases the board of examiners may additionally require that for acceptance into the Master's course for Applied Musicology adaptation modules are to be completed.
