Institute of Organic Chemistry

The Institute of Organic Chemistry consists of three research groups, which offer a broad spectrum of chemistry. Here you can review topics for possible research projects.

Prof. Dr. Peter R. Schreiner's group

Research of the PRS group addresses organocatalysis and organocatalytical methods, diamandoids as novel building blocks and matrix isolation of reactive intermediates including computational chemistry. For more detailed information about the group and their research click here.

 Prof. Dr. Richard Göttlich's group

 göttlich_group_cut
The Göttlich group is interested in synthesis of aminosulfonic acids, methylene bridged N-heterocyclic ligands and asymmetric imines. Furthermore they focus on DNA alkylating agents for cancer therapy and the aminooxygenation of alkenes. For extensive Informations click here.

Prof. Dr. Hermann A. Wegner's group

 Wegner_Collage
The Wegner group focuses on new methods to access molecules in an efficient and selective way. Therefore they deal with the concepts of multinary macrocyclic molecular switches and bidentate lewis acid catalysis. For more detailed information click here.
