Procedures on animals used for scientific purposes

This seminar series presents a variety of different in vivo and in vitro methods using animals of common laboratory animal species as well as exotic animals and farm animals. Additionally, the participants’ knowledge is extended in pain management and monitoring as well as specific aspects of animal husbandry focussing on a scientific point of view.

Development of therapeutics in (veterinary) medicine
The seminar takes place in the lecture hall of the Institute for Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry (Frankfurter Str. 100, 35392 Giessen) and lasts from 16:00 – 17:30.
The participation is documented in the GGL portfolio for GGL students. For other interessents, a blank certificate of participation (seminar 24.10.2019) can downloaded here, must be filled by the participant with his/her name. It will be signed by the organisators at the end of the seminar.
The seminar is also open for veterinarians who are not employees or doctoral candidates of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the JLU Giessen. Information for veterinarians: This seminar is recognized by ATF.
